	&lt;p&gt;Editors Note:&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;As we indicated in our last &lt;a href="http://dispatch.third-way.com/articles/2006/05/16/third-way-in-iraq-11-wounded-and-returned-to-america"&gt;posting&lt;/a&gt;, Sean was badly wounded in action in Fallujah and has been returned to the United States.&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;Though he was gravely injured, having been shot in the neck (the bullet hit his carotid artery and exited through his back), his condition is steadily improving. He is out of the &lt;span class="caps"&gt;ICU&lt;/span&gt; and is able to sit up, talk, drink fluids, etc.&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;He will be hospitalized for some time to come, but all of his family, friends and colleagues are hopeful for a full recovery.&lt;/p&gt;
